First blog post ~ Sistars
Greetings Mamas! Thank you for taking the time to check out my site, and read my blog. Becoming a Mother is one of the most precious gifts we can possibly be given. It is something that only Mother's can relate to, and understand. For this reason I think it is so important that we Mama's stick together as Sistars of this Universe, as Mother's of these babies. " It takes a village to raise a child" ~ when I first became a mother at the age of 21, I did not feel like anyone should be raising my child but me. Unfortunately I still had one semester of college left and I had to rely on other's to watch my son while I finished classes. Five months later I graduated and became a full stay at home mom. Not only was I now a stay at home mom, but I was moving away from all of my family and friends as well. It was tough, being in a new area, being a new mommy, and having all of the household duties to myself. I felt so alone, even though I was with my son ALL day EVERY day, so ironic how that happens! But more than anything I just wanted Mommy friends, because none of my friends could help me or understand what I was going through. Only recently have I found a very wonderful Mommy Sistar, and it is amazing to have that connection with someone! I just want to take a moment to encourage you all, to find those Mommy friends ~ it will change so much for you! I hope this blog also encourages Sisterhood, as we all embark on this transformation into Mother ~ together! Peace and blessings for you all.
